Great Getaway

Marco Island Getaway

Teresa,
Thank you so much for letting us stay at Sea Mar Condo last week. Rachel and I had such a wonderful time! Our Marco Island getaway was a great stress reliever from our (yet exciting) wedding week.

If you are curious, here are the highlights of our week:
The first 2 days (June 2nd and 3rd), we just stayed nearby and enjoyed the condo and the ocean. Notable food: Italian Deli and Market!
June 4th, we woke up and ate at Doreen’s, and we LOVED it! Later, we traveled up to Naples Pier and stayed there for several hours.
June 5th, we traveled to Everglades City and enjoyed an airboat tour! We didn’t get to see any gators in the wild, but we got to hold one at the proceeding gator exhibit! Afterward, we ate at Island Cafe and then traveled further to Chokoloskee. There wasn’t much to do there, but it was a nice little community.
June 6th, we rented a jet ski at Caxambas park and did a Ten Thousand Islands / Cape Romano tour.  (For more information on recommended tours, see our Top 10 page https://seamarcondo.com/top-10-list-sea-mar-condo-marco-island-penthouse-1907.  )This was our favorite venture of the week! We got to see plenty of dolphins, oyster beds, and the Dome Home! Afterward, we ate at Nacho Mama’s in Marco Walk Plaza.
June 7th, we traveled north to Sanibel and enjoyed the lighthouse and all the pretty shells. Then, we went to Fort Myers and ate at Doc Ford’s. Personally, this was definitely my favorite meal of the week! Then, we went to Bowditch Point Park, which was very scenic! Lastly, we went to Lovers Key State Park and enjoyed a breathtaking sunset.
June 8th, we were at the beach most of the day. We found lots of amazing shells! Later, we ate at Sami’s Pizza Pasta Grill, which was definitely one of the best meals of the week!
Thanks again for our great getaway to Marco Island. It was very cozy and welcoming, and the view from the balcony was wonderful! We hope to come back sometime, maybe for a future anniversary!      Hunter & Rachel (Honeymoon) June 2019
